Take My Hand - Community Housing Development
Applied Principles for Service Incorporated (APFSI) is committed to community development and family wellbeing. The scope of this project is helps us meet the requirements of our strategic plan by assisting individuals and families achieve housing security with low-cost high-quality residential options through the purchase or rental of formerly distressed homes in their community. Several initiatives are available to help fund the projects and attract investors.
APFSI also views the work required to repair and refurbish these properties as an opportunity to provide hands-on skills training for at-risk youth or offenders that are re-integrating into their communities. Several US Department of Labor initiatives are available to help with wages and support for training and placement of participants.
Finally APFSI has included this project as part of the Sustainability Plan for the organization expecting the project will allow the organization to acquire additional assets and/or sources of income that will finance the growth and continuation of this project and other community, health, and educational projects within APFSI.
