John Epps

John Epps is Executive Director of Applied Principles for Service, a nonprofit organization providing Youth and Community Development Services, and Organizational and Capacity-Building Assistance.This organization envisions a community in which every youth experiences nurturing one-to-one relationships and community support.This allows each of them to be capable of making informed, responsible choices and decisions as involved members of our community. Mr. Epps conducted the initial pilot for this program in 2006. Mr. Epps additional responsibilities as Executive Director include management and consulting for projects, establishing 501(c) 3 organizations and developing programs and successfully seeking grants and funding.

 

Wiley Jones

Wiley Jones

Wiley Jones is an energetic, detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with exceptional supervisorial and exceptional supervisorial and problem solving skills; who worked in the education profession as a teacher, leader and representative. For twelve years Mr. Jones taught in the Health Science Department at Marion High School.During the teaching years Mr. Jones served as Chairperson of the Taylor University Student Teacher Assessment Committee; served as a developer and writer on a revision of State Substance Abuse Program, Indiana Department of Public Instruction at Ball State University and was the author of the Human Sexuality Curriculum –for the High School Health program.

 

Val Domkiv

val

Val Domkiv successfully taught in California public schools for eleven years. Mrs. Domkiv is noted for her development of an active parent participation program to assist in minimizing the effects of crowded classrooms. Ms. Domkiv has worked in and with community organizations to provide support and empowerment of working adults.Mrs. Domkiv was also a three-year volunteer counselor for a county-based crisis program. Mrs. Domkiv is the published author of three children’s books and co- author of a teacher manual for innovative parent conferencing.

Ledona Williams

Le Dona

Ledona Williams is child and community oriented. She is part of the School Site Council and the PTO at Kelley Elementary. She worked as a community organizer helping home buyers caught in the terrible economic recession save their homes. Ledona worked to organize communities (homebuyers and businesses) for action, saving whole neighborhoods from becoming ghost towns. Ledona also worked to organize playground aides in Los Angeles Unified School District to be treated with dignity and respect for the care they show to our children on a daily basis. She has helped education friendly candidates be elected to school boards throughout Southern California.

June Shields

June Shields is an Educator whose experiences encompass thirty-five years. Ms. Shields has taught in a Continuation, Middle and High School. In addition Ms. Shields has experience as an Elementary Project Resource Teacher, District Resource Teacher and Summer School Principal. Ms. Shields has also served as Faculty Advisor for the UCLA, TeachLA Program where she mentored beginning teachers and taught Culture Diversity and Content Area classes. Ms. Shields encourages teachers and students to celebrate and support diversity within the classroom. Ms. Shields has also been a Grade Level Coordinator, Dean of Students for a middle school located in Ontario Montclair School District. Ms. Shields is currently Interim Assistant Principal at the same school
